The School of Yaya’s Fishes is currently searching for SAFE Swim Instructors and Assistants. We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to have fun and work with children of all ages while hanging out by a pool.

(We’re on a peaceful, little farm in the middle of the country.)

The Description:

The School of Yaya’s Fishes is searching for a SAFE Swim III coach to help our students build their athletic skills.

SAFE Swim III offers more experienced swimmers one-on-one stroke training and development, concentrating on Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke. We do not currently participate in competitions.

Other duties may be assigned as needed. The right candidate will demonstrate patience and enthusiasm and be able to motivate students to accomplish their swimming goals.

Ultimately, an exceptional swim instructor should communicate effectively with staff and students and ensure that all water safety rules are adhered to. You should also be able to help students with special needs to socialize with other students.

The Pay and Perks:

We will offer the right candidate $20/hour to begin. No weekend hours. No holidays. Definitely chickens.

Requirements:

  • At one year of experience, training students to swim
  • Strong swimming abilities and proficient knowledge in Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Patient, passionate, and enthusiastic
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our location

The Description:

Your responsibilities would include “catching” and directing children during training in addition to documenting attendance, monitoring progress, and maintaining pool area. You should also be able to help students with special needs to socialize with other students.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.The right candidate will demonstrate patience and enthusiasm and be able to motivate students to accomplish their swimming goals.

Ultimately, an exceptional swim instructor or assistant should communicate effectively with staff and students and ensure that all water safety rules are adhered to.

Full and part-time positions are available; pay is commensurate with experience. No weekend hours. No holidays. Definitely chickens.

Requirements:

  • Nursing certifications are preferred, but not required
  • Strong swimming abilities
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Patient, passionate, and enthusiastic
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our location
  • Must be at least 16 years of age

The SAFE Swim Foundation (Swim And Float in Emergencies) supports and promotes drowning prevention, including survival swim training for infants, toddlers and children of various backgrounds.
